Opportunities in Nottingham

Photography Project -

Do you want to participate in some PhD research by taking photographs of your local area?

PhD student Jessica Bowden is looking for participants who are willing to take a small number of photographs to represent their experience of living in their local area.

She is running an introduction to the project this Thursday 23rd March, 15:15 at the Vine Community Centre, Hyson Green, Bobbers Mill Road, Nottingham NG7 5GZ

The session will last around 30 minutes and Jessica will inform everyone of exactly what you'll be asked to do.

There'll then be a second session on Thursday April 13th at 14:00, which will last up to 2 hours and will involve discussing the photographs that have been taken.

If you'd like to attend the session this Thursday, just turn up for 15:15 and head to the Pioneer room.

Do you like singing? This could be the workshop for you!

Nottingham Companion Voices is a new singing group for the benefit of patients at Nottinghamshire Hospice.

The group will learn simple world songs to sing unaccompanied and in harmony at the bedside for people nearing the end of life.

They are holding an introductory workshop on Saturday 22 April, with Judith Silver, the founder of Companion Voices.

The workshop will involve learning songs of comfort and companionship and finding out about the ethos and practice of Companion Voices.

If you'd like to take part contact Julie at nottingham@companionvoices.org or book online at www.tickettailor.com/events/nottinghamcompanionvoices/867114
