The main element of our live events programme is our music improv night, Just Jamming - an event for amateur and experienced musicians to come together and jam. It's a great opportunity to learn from others, experiment and play in a supportive, friendly and encouraging environment.

Sessions are led by musician and improvisor Joe Egan who'll get you playing lots of improv games to get you fired up for an evening of fun where you can make lots of noise!

Just Jamming takes place on the last Tuesday of the month, they're free to attend and you can just turn up or let us know you're coming by booking below. If you want a more regular fix, we have a member led session called Just Jamming Extra which is an opportunity to get together to learn and play some Jazz songs. These take place at The Embankment Pub on Trent Bridge, (upstairs in the Jesse Boot room) usually on the second Tuesday of the month but this sometimes varies. Please check the Facebook page for details. www.facebook.com/JustJamming1

Do you love live music? Are you a musician? Are you looking for an outlet to practice and perform?

Just Jamming is the ideal space for you to come along to play, listen and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere.

Led by local jazz musician and improviser Joe Egan, over the course of the evening there will be the opportunity for everyone to improvise and perform together. This will include a number of improvisation games as well as the more traditional playing of jazz standards and blues forms.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or you’ve never jammed before there’ll be ample opportunity for you to get up, get involved and make some noise!

This is specifically for older musicians but all ages are welcome to come along to listen and play.

This is a FREE event and takes place on the last Tuesday of the month.

There is on-site parking and the building is fully accessible. There is no bar so it's bring your own, but we can provide tea and coffee.

Come along on the day or let us know you're coming by booking a space or calling us on 0115 978 6133

Come along to the ArtSpeak Poetry afternoon as part of the Nottingham Poetry Festival. Local poets, Sue Allen, Clare Stewart, Laura Grevel and Margaret Gosley will perform throughout the afternoon, and there’ll also be open mic slots for anyone wanting to get involved.
You can sign up for it on the day and could either perform some original material, read a poem you like, or write a response to one and deliver it to the audience.
This performance and open mic will follow a workshop led by the four poets. The workshop is specifically for people aged 60+, but the performance and open mic is open to all ages.
