We've partnered with Nottingham Jazz Steps to establish a new music night for Nottingham musicians and music lovers, starting in September 2019.
Just Jamming invites musicians and music lovers to come together to: listen, play, sing and jam. It’s for people who want to play for others, meet and play with other musicians and be experimental with their practice. With direction from the founder of Bitches Be Brewin, a regular Jazz improv night held at Jam Café, this new initiative is specifically for people aged 60 and above but also welcomes collaborations between younger musicians and audiences.
Just Jamming will be held on the last Tuesday of each month from 7 – 10pm at The Embankment Pub in the intimate and ornate room that was once Jesse Boots office. Launching on Tuesday 24 September with an eclectic mix of musicians already on the line up. Musicians are invited to bring along their instruments and sign up to get involved on the night but there is no obligation to play.
The Embankment is the city side of Trent Bridge: Arkwright Street, Nottingham, NG2 2GR.
