All the Beauty and the Bloodshed,
Broadway Cinema
Fri 27 Jan - Wed 1 Feb (Various times)
Do you know of the Artist and activist Nan Goldwin?
Nancy (Nan) Goldin is an American photographer and activist. Her work often explores LGBT subcultures, moments of intimacy, the HIV/AIDS crisis, and the opioid epidemic.
All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is an epic, emotional story about her life, told through her slideshows, intimate interviews, ground-breaking photography and rare footage of her fight to hold the Sackler family accountable for the overdose crisis.
Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Laura Poitras, the film interweaves Goldin’s past and present, the deeply personal and urgently political, from P.A.I.N.’s actions at renowned art institutions to Goldin’s photography of her friends and peers through her epic The Ballad of Sexual Dependency.

Mary Cassatt: Painting the Modern Woman
Broadway Cinema
Mon 13 March, 15:00 and 17:00
Mary Cassatt was an American Painter and printmaker working during the Impressionism, modern art and American Impressionism periods.
Cassatt made a career painting the lives of the women around her. Her radical images showed them as intellectual, feminine and real, which was a major shift in the way women appeared in art.
The world’s most eminent Cassatt curators and scholars help tell this riveting tale of great social and cultural change; a time when women were fighting for their rights and the language of art was completely re-written. Mary Cassatt and her modern women were at the heart of it all.
